Meet Dr. Star
Dr. Star Marie Rostankovski, O.D.
Dr. Star Rostankovski was born and raised in Northwest Indiana.
After being diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at 16 months old, she began regular visits with specialists and ophthalmologists and developed an early interest in the medical profession. Those experiences shaped her appreciation for clear communication, careful clinical judgment, and respectful patient care.
She earned her B.A. in medical health sciences, with a minor in biology and psychology, at Purdue University. While attending Purdue, she participated in microbiology and genetics research with Harvard Ph.D. graduate Dr. C. Das, exploring a potential link to and treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Star earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry and relocated to Pensacola after her optometric externship at the Gulf Coast VA.
Outside of work, Dr. Star enjoys swimming, paddleboarding, and going to the beach with her dog, Brock.
